The materials listed below are the ones most often used by the Perali Foundry.
In any case, the Perali Foundry will do its best to satisfy individual customers’ requirements, using materials that do not appear in the list.
| BRASS | |||||
| DeltaB |
Brass used for a vast range of castings: from ornamental pieces to taps and fittings,
from valve components to nozzles for gas installations, from small parts to handles,
small gears and casts for pressure seals.
| ALUMINIUM | |||||
| EN AB - 42000 AlSi7Mg UNI 3599 |
Aluminium with good mechanical properties and machinability; after hardening
and tempering heat treatment, average corrosion resistance.
| GAlSi4,5 UNI 3054 |
Aluminium for castings destined for the food-chemical industry and furnishings.
| EN AB - 43100 AlSi10Mg UNI 3051 |
Aluminium for castings with a complex design and good pressure seal
| EN AB - 46400 AlSi9Cu1Mg UNI 7369/3 |
Aluminium for general use requiring good pressure seal
| EN AB - 46500 AlSi9Cu3Fe UNI 7369/4 |
Aluminium for castings with average mechanical properties and good machinability;
| BRONZE | |||||
| B10 IND |
Bronze with good machinability; with a 3% lead content it guarantees a good pressure seal for machine tools
| B14 IND |
In addition to the features of B10 IND, its 12% tin content makes it suitable for making
highly stressed gear wheels, bevelled gear wheels, bearing cages subject to high stress
| GCuSn10 UNI 7013 -1 |
Bronze suited to uses where wear and corrosion resistance is needed,
therefore suitable for use in the shipbuilding and petrochemical industries (centrifugal pump
casings and impellers, vacuum pumps, valve parts)
| GCuSn12 UNI 7013 -2 |
Bronze suited to uses where wear and corrosion resistance is needed,
therefore suitable for use in the shipbuilding and petrochemical
industries (centrifugal pump casings and impellers, vacuum pumps, valve parts)
| ALUMINIUM BRONZE | |||||
| G-Cu Al11 Fe4 UNI 5274 |
Aluminium bronze with high resistance to wear, impact and erosion,
resistant to attack by many corrosive chemicals, mechanical properties
remain unchanged at high temperatures
| G-Cu Al11 Fe4 Ni4 UNI 5275 |
As well as the properties of UNI 5274, the addition of nickel
increases corrosion resistance indices to extend the range of
application in the ship-building and chemical industries and in steel mills.
